February 2, 2007 in the predawn hours tornados slashed across central FL. They began their devastation just ten miles from us! We knew that tornados were possible. We got torrential rains for about 3 hours and these waked us.

We look at the TV coverage and are just amazed that we have been so close and yet were so safe. Orlando TV stations were on live all day. The weather channel moved in and as of 2-2-07 they are still here.

Thanks for your many calls and E mails. And, we are most grateful to say we are fine. Many folks in central FL are hurting.
